Key Job Responsibilities

The Senior Leader of Underwriting Risk Management will play a pivotal role in overseeing and challenging underwriting transaction requests, collaborating closely with the Credit Department for informed decision-making, and applying extensive credit knowledge and experience to assess credit and market risks of underwriting positions.

  • Assist senior management in reviewing and challenging underwriting transaction requests, working collaboratively with the Credit Department to make well-informed decisions and mitigate potential risks.
  • Manage the origination of new credits, oversee portfolios, and conduct ongoing risk management activities to ensure effective credit risk management practices are implemented.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of market conditions, review weekly position updates, and evaluate business strategies to optimize underwriting portfolios.
  • Report findings to the regional management committee to inform strategic decisions and drive business growth.
  • Evaluate new Structured Debt products and services, facilitating discussions with key stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive credit risk management strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting the development of underwriting risk frameworks in the APAC region.
