Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Real Estate, Facilities, EH&S, APAC to join our team at Boston Scientific. This role will be responsible for partnering with Commercial Site OSMs to develop and oversee the facility strategy, including real estate portfolio, facilities, environment, health and safety, capital spending and expenses for Boston Scientific in the APAC region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the APAC inputs to the Global Facilities Master Plan (GFMP) process, ensuring governance of BSC Facilities Capex.
  • Establish strong collaborative relationships with Site OSM leads to track Site Master Plans, evaluate capacity and space utilization, and track site leases.
  • Oversee real estate development, acquisition, and disposition in accordance with organizational guidelines and expectations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop workplace strategies that promote employee productivity, well-being, and collaboration.
  • Ensure all projects are carried out in accordance with the latest BSC Global Design Guidelines.
  • Administer operational expenses and capital budgets for assigned sites in alignment with GFMP and site objectives.
  • Oversee and provide guidance on building maintenance programs within the region.
  • Deploy and sustain soft services, including janitorial, catering, security, etc.
  • Manage facilities wheel of spend and ensure adherence to BSC standardized cost codes and operational expense reporting.
  • In partnership with the Global Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) and EHS Team, oversee the APAC Green Team and APAC Environment Strategic Plan.
  • Liaise with the Global Energy team to determine the energy and carbon footprint of real estate and ensure regional participation in sustainability programs.
  • Facilitate the establishment of country-specific Environmental compliance registers, completion of annual regulatory assessments, and creation of improvement plans for any gaps identified.
  • Ensure completion of any mandatory environmental reporting/programs required in the region.
  • Collaborate with global teams for global regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Point of escalation for commercial teams for ESG-related inquiries from customers.
  • Collaborate with the Regional EHS Council to effectively deliver the Health and Safety programs in the region.
  • Work with the Site OSM and Global EHS to establish long-term health and safety plans, aligned with Global requirements and site needs.
  • Ensure adequate emergency response plans are in place at all sites and adequate training and drills are in place.
  • Ensure health and safety risk assessments are completed for all office and field-based employees, programs are in place to address any high-risk findings.
  • Ensure regulatory/BSC required employee exposure controls and monitoring programs are in place in the countries to protect employees.
  • Ensure all health and safety regulatory reporting, such as incidents, accidents, prescribed diseases, are reported to the required authorities.
  • Ensure scheduled delivery of required EHS incident reporting and metrics to Global EHS using Cority.
  • Serve as a link between newly acquired locations and the GREFAC EHS function to drive alignment of all site infrastructure and activities to global standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining Facilities-related workstream in APAC Acquisition playbook.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or at least 10-15 years of industry experience.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Medical device industry or other regulated industry experience.
  • Multi-APAC country and culture working experience.
  • Relevant experience in facilities management in APAC.
  • Relevant experience and proven results in project management and budget management.
  • Demonstrated high degree of integrity, professionalism, and the ability to establish credibility.
  • Ability to work independently, highly organized, and self-driven.
  • Excellent MS application skills (PPTX, Excel, Word, Project, Teams).
  • Excellent communication and fluency in both verbal and written English and other Asian language highly desirable.
  • A willingness to work flexibly across different time zones and travel in APAC.
