Senior Corporate Lawyer for Trading and Property Development

The company is a group that focuses on trading and distributing steel-related products. They are also involved in developing properties, such as service apartments.
We are looking for a legal expert to help build a legal team. The position holder will provide legal advice and guidance regarding all aspects of Singapore law and various applicable laws, regulations, and Company rules.
About the Role:
- Provide legal advisory work, including advising business departments, managing directors, drafting legal opinions, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Lead the legal assistance on business development activities, including mergers and acquisitions, divestments, acquisitions of shares or assets.
- Be in charge of corporate secretarial matters, including incorporation of companies, corporate secretarial, business registration, renewal matters, board and shareholder meetings, and compliance with applicable laws.
- Draft, review, and evaluate internal policies, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Key Requirements:
- A degree in law (LLB) from a reputable university and admission to the Singapore bar.
- At least 8-12 years of experience in either a law firm or as a legal counsel, preferably in trading & distribution, property development, construction related.
- Expertise in mergers and acquisitions, general corporate law, knowledge of litigation.
- Able to travel to Malaysia for M&A jobs.
