Interior Design Consultant

Job Description

  • Transform spaces into functional designs by collaborating with our experienced designers and clients.

A Day in the Life

  • Deliver services and solutions with professionalism and quality at all times.
  • Work with lead designers and design teams to support design implementation.
  • Turn creative ideas into functional design concepts based on given briefs and client objectives.
  • Develop space planning and design conceptualisation skills.
  • Liaise with clients on quotations and design requirements.
  • Prepare layout plans, perspective drawings, elevation plans, and dimensional drawings.
  • Present design concepts to clients for approval.
  • Prepare design documentation and material selections.
  • Collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and clients during construction phases.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in interior design or architecture.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in retail and commercial interior design environments.
  • Strong design sensibility and technical ability to develop projects from concept to execution.
  • Excellent technical design skills for fixtures with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in key design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, VectorWorks, 3D Studio Max, Illustrator, VRay, and Photoshop.
  • Hands-on experience in producing detailed drawings and 3D modeling.
  • Good knowledge of architectural production standards, detailing, building materials, building codes, and construction.
  • Creative, resourceful, and able to think outside the box.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
