Port Operations Specialist

The Port Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of ship arrivals and departures. This involves liaising with shipowners/operators, planning and executing port husbandry activities, and overseeing cargo operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ship Handling: Handle arrival and departure of ships, ensuring timely and safe operations.
  • Liaison and Communication: Liaise with shipowners/operators to discuss schedules, requirements, and other matters related to ship operations.
  • Port Husbandry: Plan and carry out port husbandry activities, including maintenance, repair, and cleaning of vessels.
  • Cargo Operations: Oversee cargo operations, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient loading/unloading procedures.
  • Process Improvement: Implement improvements to enhance efficiency in port operations.
  • Resource Planning: Oversee the planning of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to clients, responding to their queries and concerns.
Requirements:
  • Polytechnic diploma in Maritime Studies (including Nautical Studies and Maritime Business) is preferred.
  • Singaporean citizen.
