Solar Power Design Expert

As a Solar PV Design Engineer, you will play a vital role in leading the design and development of solar photovoltaic systems. Your key responsibilities will include conducting feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and providing mentorship to a team of engineers.
You will be responsible for producing technical proposals, estimating project PV capacity and costing through technical assessments of sites and drawings. You will also develop design specifications and functional requirements for projects, complete system designs, and analyze factors affecting performance of PV systems.
In addition, you will perform software simulations of solar photovoltaic system performance and energy production, provide engineering support during installation, and assist in reviews and approval of engineering drawing submissions from contractors.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering discipline
- 3 to 5 years' experience in solar PV system design/engineering
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel capabilities
- Familiarity with engineering software such as PVSyst, AutoCAD, Sketchup, SolarGIS, and Helioscope
