Solar Power Project Design Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented Solar Power Project Design Engineer to take a leading role in the technical design of high-profile solar power projects. As part of our team, you will be responsible for designing and engineering project documentation, developing electrical single-line diagrams, performing detailed DC/AC calculations, and preparing performance modeling reports using PVSyst.


About This Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual with a strong background in electrical, civil, or structural engineering to join our organization. We are looking for someone who has a minimum of 3 years of proven experience in the design and engineering of solar PV systems, as well as in-depth knowledge of solar technologies and familiarity with local building codes and engineering standards.


Your Responsibilities
  1. Technical Design & Engineering: Lead the design and engineering review process for all project documentation, develop electrical single-line diagrams, perform detailed DC/AC calculations, and prepare performance modeling reports using PVSyst.
  2. Project & Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a key technical advisor to project managers during installation and commissioning, collaborate with internal teams and external EPCs to ensure seamless system integration.
  3. Regulatory Compliance & Approvals: Manage and prepare all design submissions to relevant authorities, work closely with Professional Engineers (PEs) and Licensed Electrical Workers (LEWs) to secure all necessary endorsements.

What You Will Need
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in the design and engineering of solar PV systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of solar technologies and familiarity with local building codes and engineering standards.
  • Direct experience managing design submissions to local regulatory bodies is highly preferred.
