Bar Operations Manager Job Description

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bar Operations Manager to lead the smooth operation of all our Bar Outlets. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a key member in ensuring the profitability of our Bar Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage bar stock, schedule staff, oversee operations, conduct monthly stock-takes, submit claims, control expenses, and minimize waste.
  • Liaise with F&B Operations Manager and Outlet Heads on operational matters.
  • Communicate effectively with bar staff, explain objectives, and expectations.
  • Prepare weekly duty rosters and submit staff claims.
  • Monitor revenue of beverage and tobacco items and compare to targets, preparing actions to achieve sales goals.
  • Assess staff performance, providing corrective action when necessary.
  • Handle customer complaints, bringing them to the attention of the F&B Operations Manager.
  • Ensure efficient POS system operation and accurate billing of Members' Chits.
  • Provide leadership and training to staff.
  • Support Banquet and Events teams and other F&B Outlets as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Product knowledge and coaching skills.
  • Leadership and inventory management abilities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and cash management.
  • Excellent customer service and performance appraisal skills.
  • Familiarity with wines, cocktails, and beverages.
  • Knowledge of hospitality and alcoholic beverages industries.
