Job Title

 

We are seeking a skilled lighting designer to join our organization. The Senior Lighting Consultant will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive lighting designs, including concept presentations, technical drawings, and calculations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lighting designs, including concept presentations, technical drawings, and calculations.
  • Collaborate closely with electrical teams, clients, and other consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to junior designers, fostering their growth and development.
  • Presentation of lighting strategies to clients and other stakeholders, effectively communicating design ideas.
  • Manage the entire lighting design process from Concept Design to Testing & Commissioning, ensuring timely handover.
  • Manage project workflow, task delegation, and scheduling, ensuring efficient progress.
  • Supervise junior designers, provide assistance, and report to senior management.
  • Coordinate with Clients, Consultants, Contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.

Project Management

Oversee the lighting design process, ensuring high-quality results and meeting deadlines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks. Ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Leadership and Teamwork

Foster a positive team culture, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing. Encourage open communication, active listening, and constructive feedback. Lead by example, demonstrating expertise, empathy, and a customer-centric approach.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in related roles, preferably in lighting design or a related field.
  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Product Design, or Interior Design.
  • Proficiency in common design analysis software, such as Photoshop and Dialux.
  • Strong design flair, creativity, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • A good team leader/player, able to work collaboratively and manage conflicting priorities.
