This position is ideal for a marketing professional with experience in student-facing roles and higher education environments. As a key member of the School of Social Sciences (SOSS) team, you will be responsible for developing engaging visual and written marketing content, managing social media channels, and planning events that showcase the school's programs and achievements.

  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to increase awareness of SOSS and its programs.
  • Manage and maintain the school's website and social media presence, ensuring timely updates and accuracy of information.
  • Collaborate with relevant parties to ensure above-the-line information is accurate and presented in a positive light.
  • Plan and execute professional communications and promotions in collaboration with colleagues and departments across the university.
  • Cultivate relationships with SOSS alumni and coordinate events that appeal to their interests.
  • Represent SOSS at outreach events and provide administrative support for SOSCIETY, the student constituent body of SOSS.
  • Work closely with student-focused offices to support the development of student life at SOSS.

  • A bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in a student-facing role.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Prior experience working in a higher-education environment is advantageous.
  • Fluent English communication skills and ability to deliver presentations effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving and initiative-taking skills.
