Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic sourcing plans to ensure a consistent supply of key commodities.
  • Evaluate product requirements and suppliers' capabilities to select the optimal supplier for each project.
  • Negotiate prices with vendors to achieve cost savings.

Purchase Order Management:

  • Coordinate the creation and issuance of purchase orders to vendors, ensuring timely execution.

Delivery and Quality Control:

  • Collaborate with vendors to coordinate delivery dates that meet customer request deadlines.
  • Monitor scheduled deliveries and conduct weekly follow-ups with vendors as needed.
  • Maintain and update procurement documentation regularly.

Cost Optimization:

  • Work with vendors to resolve quality issues and implement replacement solutions.
  • Discuss and communicate with team members and vendors to find effective solutions for quality control.
  • Record and maintain order records for traceability in case of quality issues.

Reporting and Data Analysis:

  • Assist supervisors in preparing reports and data analysis.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain & Inventory management.
  • Able to interpret basic mechanical drawings (preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word for project management.
  • Strong sourcing and analysis skills.
  • Able to manage suppliers to maintain good relationships.
  • Multitask in high-pressure and fast-paced environments.
