Regional Benefits Specialist


In this key role, you will support multinational clients by delivering consulting and broking services to their regional HR teams and/or headquarters. Your focus will be on optimizing their employee benefits programs.


Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinating services to regional HR/headquarters.
  2. Serving as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, providing local country updates and escalating issues as needed.
  3. Advising on strategies to enhance regional benefits management, including effective use of providers such as insurers, benefits vendors, and third-party administrators.
  4. Keeping abreast of legislative and market changes to proactively identify client impact and opportunities.
  5. Supporting the adoption and use of tools such as Benefits Engine and Benefits Insights to maximize data value.
  6. Identifying opportunities to integrate benefits consulting with other services offered by our company.
  7. Coordinating local consulting and broking services: Working with the Global Benefits Center (GBC) to ensure updates to the status trackers and population of data in the appropriate benefits inventory tools or databases.
  8. Effectively managing projects using established project management tracker and technology to deliver a successful project across all countries.
  9. Working with relevant parties (including the local H&B teams) to ensure local broker-of-record letters (or similar) and statements of work are in place; With support from the GBC, engaging in dialogue with in-country consultants/brokers as needed to ensure local issues are resolved.
  10. Participating in regular (as necessary) calls both internally and with the clients to communicate progress and resolve outstanding matters.
  11. Reviewing local broker reports and other communications to ensure consistency of style and message, as appropriate.
  12. Dealing with issues that arise and escalating as appropriate.
  13. Ensuring that the wider H&B team is kept apprised of issues and brought into conversations as necessary.
  14. Developing regional financial and stewardship reports, as required.

Qualifications:


  1. Minimum 3 years of experience working within HR or in a benefits program related capacity, experience managing insured benefit programs is preferred.
  2. General understanding of the benefits program within APAC, especially for insured programs, deep country-specific knowledge is a plus.
  3. Excellent project management skills and ability to multitask several projects simultaneously.
  4. Analytic skills and attention to details.
  5. Experience working collaboratively with other team members.
  6. Effective communication in English, including written, verbal, and presentation.
  7. Ability to communicate in a second language is a plus.
  8. Ability to participate in meetings outside of regular working hours.
  9. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  10. BA/BS degree preferred.
