Job Title:

Global Business Development Specialist

About the Role:

The role is to develop and execute strategies that enhance Singapore's position as a global centre for business, innovation, and talent. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues in EDB and across government, as well as in-market partners ranging from industry to community organisations.

This includes growing a network of individuals whose skills, affinity and influence could strengthen Singapore's business and talent ecosystem, alongside enhancing international mindshare of Singapore as a vibrant global hub in Asia.

The role requires developing and executing market development strategies for overseas activities, designing and delivering one-to-one and one-to-many engagements, identifying, developing and maintaining a network of corporate/community partners who can achieve SGN's business outcomes.

It also involves evaluating sponsorship and partnership opportunities, continuously monitoring and evaluating partnership performance to ensure alignment with SGN's objectives.

Additionally, the successful candidate will collaborate with other EDB divisions and Singapore Government agencies to develop and execute projects to harness SGN's network.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute market development strategies for overseas activities.
  • Design and deliver one-to-one and one-to-many engagements.
  • Identify, develop and maintain a network of corporate/community partners.
  • Evaluate sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate partnership performance.
  • Collaborate with other EDB divisions and Singapore Government agencies.
Requirements:

A university degree in any discipline with 3-5 years of working experience in marketing, international relations or community building. Relevant overseas working experiences will be a bonus.

Strong interest in current affairs and knowledge of latest developments in Singapore and trending global issues.

Enthusiastic about building and nurturing relationships, and managing stakeholders.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, in both written and spoken English. Additional language skills (e.g. Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu, etc.) would be a bonus.

Exceptional organisational and project management skills, able to manage multiple complex projects concurrently.

Highly adaptable, able to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Detail-oriented with accuracy of delivery.

Ability to travel overseas for work.
