About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Learning Innovations Manager to join our team at the National Institute of Education (NIE). As a key member of the Centre for Innovation in Learning, you will play a crucial role in advancing data-driven innovation in teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and establish clear goals for the Learning Innovations team, fostering a culture of innovation and data-driven decision-making.
  • Manage the team's resources to ensure effective use of learning analytics dashboards and emerging technologies that support teaching and learning improvements.
  • Oversee the team's performance by assigning tasks strategically, offering guidance, and developing the team's skills to ensure alignment with institutional goals.
  • Communicate team achievements and outcomes related to learning analytics and data-driven T&L projects to IN-Learning's management through comprehensive reports.
Requirements
  • A University degree in Learning Sciences, Educational Technology, Data Analytics, or related fields.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in educational technology, learning analytics, or a related field within a higher education setting, with demonstrated leadership in integrating learning analytics into teaching and learning.
  • Proven supervisory experience, including managing or mentoring others in a data-driven educational technology environment.
  • Strong knowledge of emerging educational technologies and the ability to integrate these into data-informed teaching and learning practices.
  • Experience in data analysis to uncover themes and trends and the ability to interpret teacher-facing and student-facing learning analytics to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Experience delivering training programs that support faculty in leveraging learning analytics and using emerging educational tools effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and actionable manner for diverse stakeholders, including faculty and leadership.
