Job Overview:
We are seeking an exceptional Culinary Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pantry and Plate Management: Prepare and cook a variety of hot dishes, ensuring consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation.
- Mise en Place: Maintain a well-organized and stocked pantry and mise en place for efficient service.
- Menu Planning and Costing: Assist in menu planning, costing, and seasonal updates to ensure a diverse and appealing menu that meets our quality standards.
- Kitchen Inventory and Ordering: Monitor kitchen inventory, freshness, and ordering needs to ensure timely delivery of high-quality ingredients.
Baking and Pastry:
- Pastries and Cakes: Create and bake pastries, cakes, soufflé pancakes, sando bread, etc., meeting our quality and presentation standards.
- Dessert Development: Develop and test new dessert recipes aligned with our concept, incorporating creative flavor combinations and visually appealing presentation.
- Dessert Display: Decorate and plate desserts attractively and consistently, highlighting their appeal and enhancing the overall dining experience.
- Storage and Organization: Ensure proper storage of ingredients and baked goods, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Quality Control and Hygiene:
- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen and pastry areas, adhering to food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
- Food Safety: Conduct daily checks for quality, taste, and appearance, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
Team Coordination:
- Service Team Collaboration: Work closely with the service team for smooth order flow and effective communication.
- Jr. Staff Training: Train and guide junior kitchen staff or interns, sharing your expertise and knowledge to ensure successful onboarding.
- Supplier Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers for fresh and quality ingredients, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing waste.
