About the Team:Our group at FACTS is committed to delivering cutting-edge research and education in materials science and crystallography. We collaborate closely with industry partners and other academic institutions to address pressing challenges in these fields.
Role Responsibilities:- Facilities Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of Single Crystal X-ray Diffraction, X-ray fluorescence, and Electron Probe Microanalysis machines.
- Work with vendors to schedule routine maintenance and resolve technical issues promptly.
- User Services
- Develop and lead training programs to equip users with the skills necessary to effectively utilize our facilities.
- Provide hands-on support and consultation to facilitate research endeavors.
- Research Initiatives
- Pursue original research in crystallography, capitalizing on expertise in single crystal, powder, and pair distribution function analysis.
- Engage in advanced quantitative Rietveld analysis, in-situ measurements, and PDF analysis to advance materials science knowledge.
- Doctoral degree in Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in crystallography and materials science research.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Native-level fluency in English language is necessary for success in this role.
