Job Title: Network Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team at NCS PTE. LTD. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for providing Level 1.5 centralized technical support for all NCS clients. This includes participating in maintenance standby duty, ensuring SLA levels are achieved, and attending to daily call assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in maintenance standby duty to cover 24x7 support on a rotational basis as assigned by the team lead.
  • Ensure SLA levels are achieved for every fault case.
  • Escalate fault calls beyond the knowledge of L1.
  • Attend to daily call assignments during office hours.
  • Perform weekend or after-office hours duty as required.
  • Attend to preventive maintenance, including hardware inventory.
  • Follow up on case opening and closure.
  • Update incident tickets properly and promptly.
  • Obtain certifications required to support key customers.
  • Perform new assignments as assigned by the Ops manager or TSM.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or IT equivalent.
  • Preferably 2 or more years of IT working experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Cisco and Alcatel switches, routers, and wireless systems.
  • Basic network troubleshooting skills on layer 2 and layer 3.
  • Basic network security knowledge.
  • Basic server administration knowledge.
  • Certification in CCNA or other network certifications is a plus.
  • Initiative and disposition with a strong commitment to results and high-quality standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box.
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivator with a positive attitude and high energy.
  • Customer-focused.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Able to travel as required.
