Job Overview:

System Security Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled System Security Expert to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal security posture of our enterprise firewalls.

This role requires strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and excellent analytical skills. You will be responsible for configuring, deploying, and maintaining Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls, as well as assisting in managing firewall policy automation, compliance checks, and risk analysis using Algosec.

You will also mentor junior engineers, coordinate firewall-related projects, and ensure best practices are followed. Additionally, you will support the Head of Department in audits, risk assessments, and security policy enforcement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure, Deploy, and Maintain Firewalls:
  • Ensure the optimal security posture of enterprise firewalls.
  • Manage Firewall Policy Automation:
  • Implement and maintain firewall policies using Algosec.
  • Risk Analysis and Compliance:
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure compliance with security policies.
  • Mentor Junior Engineers:
  • Provide guidance and support to junior engineers on firewall-related tasks.
  • Coordinate Projects:
  • Coordinate firewall-related projects and ensure timely completion.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience managing Enterprise Firewalls (NGFW, VPN, IPS/IDS).
  • Experience with Algosec for firewall policy management is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, BGP, VPNs, and routing/switching.
  • Scripting knowledge in languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell for automation tasks.
  • Team leadership or mentoring experience is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with cloud security, including AWS and Azure firewalls, is a plus.
  • Certifications such as PCNSE (Palo Alto), NSE (Fortinet), or CISSP/CCSP are advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
