Facilities Maintenance Professional

The Facilities Maintenance Professional plays a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our students by maintaining school facilities to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts thorough surveys of buildings to identify areas requiring maintenance, with a focus on ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Performs routine maintenance on electrical systems, including replacing light bulbs and sockets, cleaning circuit breaker panels, and making necessary repairs.
  • Assists in setting up ventilation, air conditioning, and other systems, and conducts repairs as needed to maintain optimal performance.
  • Installs, tests, commissions, and troubleshoots CCTV, electrical wiring, cabling, and electronic circuits to ensure seamless functionality.
  • Maintains plumbing systems to guarantee their proper functioning and effectiveness.
  • Performs manual repairs as required, including fixing locks and replacing windows to prevent potential security breaches.
  • Undertakes pest control activities, such as spraying insecticide, to minimize risks to students and staff.
  • Conducts regular upkeep procedures and performs other tasks as assigned, including painting and carpentry, to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.
  • Completes any other related assignments given by the manager or their designate.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Nitec (NTC-3) or equivalent qualification in electrical/mechanical.
  • At least 1 year of experience in building maintenance or 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience as a facilities maintenance professional.
  • Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing work.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
