Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned piping professional to lead our team in the design and layout of complex piping systems. As an Assistant Piping Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality solutions that meet our clients' needs while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Our ideal candidate has a strong background in mechanical engineering, preferably with experience in power and water utilities as well as renewable energy projects. A passion for energy transition and infrastructure development is essential.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work seamlessly across markets, businesses, and functions. A strong understanding of piping and mechanical codes and standards is also necessary.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and designing piping systems based on project requirements
  • Creating detailed 2D and 3D piping layouts using CAD software
  • Ensuring optimal placement of pipes to facilitate maintenance, operation, and safety
  • Coordinating with other engineering disciplines to ensure integration and compatibility of systems
  • Reviewing and approving vendor & contractor documentation related to piping systems

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • At least 8-12 years of experience in piping design and layout, preferably in energy business-related engineering management and project management
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A strong understanding of piping and mechanical codes and standards
  • Experience in power and water utilities as well as renewable energy projects
