Transportation and Supply Chain Professional

This role requires a strategic thinker to oversee the entire process of storing and distributing goods, ensuring products are at the right place at the right time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Manage stock levels, oversee warehouse operations, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Plan and oversee the entire supply chain, including forecasting demand, procurement, and distribution.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments, resolve issues with imports and exports, and negotiate with shipping carriers.
  • Sourcing and Client Relations: Build relationships with suppliers, negotiate rates, and handle customer issues.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, train, and schedule logistics staff, and collaborate with other departments.
  • Process Improvement: Use logistics software and IT systems to streamline operations and use data to improve performance.
  • Risk Management: Monitor and manage logistics budgets and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
Requirements:
  1. Education: Obtain a degree in a relevant field, such as logistics, supply chain management, or business.
  2. Gaining Experience: Accumulate significant experience in logistics or a related area.
  3. Developing Key Skills: Cultivate strong leadership, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with a solid understanding of logistics software and systems.
