We are seeking a highly skilled Shipping Operations Manager to join our team at Lighthouse Navigation Singapore PTE. LTD.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of our shipping activities, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our clients. This role requires strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including vessels, agents, charterers, owners, shippers, receivers, and other external parties.
Daily Responsibilities- Liaise with vessels, agents, charterers, owners, shippers, receivers, and other external parties to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor daily vessel positions and schedules
- Provide information to Chartering on running voyages
- Manage time charter operations
- Coordinate voyage operations, including stowage optimization (TC and VC)
- Issue invoices and hire statements, handle laytime and demurrage
- Finalize voyages (TC and VC) and follow up on necessary tasks
- Manage port calls, negotiating port disbursement accounts
- Coordinate hold/hull cleaning procedures with technical departments and Masters
- Review and approve B/L drafts, commission invoices, FDA, bunker invoices, and notifications for pre-funding to accounting
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A degree in Maritime Study or a graduate of a recognized university in a Maritime-related course
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of IMOS, CFM, SEDNA would be an advantage
- Fluency in English
- Attention to detail
This role offers a competitive salary of $120,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
