Trade Finance Professional Role

This position involves managing various trade finance transactions, including sales and purchase contracts, letters of credit, and remittances. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and negotiating contract terms, overseeing import payments and export receipts, and interacting with suppliers, buyers, bankers, and ship owners/brokers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Contract Term Development: Develop and negotiate the terms and conditions for sales and purchase contracts to ensure optimal benefits for the company.
  • Trade Finance Transaction Management: Manage trade finance transactions such as ILC, TR, freight loan, ELC, discounting, and remittances to facilitate smooth business operations.
  • Letter of Credit Preparation: Prepare, negotiate, apply, and present letters of credit, including import L/C, L/C amendments, Master L/C (MLC), and MLC amendments.
  • Cash Flow Monitoring: Assist the company in monitoring cash flow movements on a daily and weekly basis to ensure timely payment and receipt of funds.
  • Supplier and Buyer Liaison: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and buyers to ensure efficient procurement and sales processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Accounts Payable Efficiency: Manage accounts payable efficiently to minimize delays and maximize cash flow.
  • Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Trade Finance Knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge of trade finance principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
