Job Summary:

This role involves the handling of trade finance products and adhering to Department SOP, bank policies, and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and handle trade finance transactions including import/export/SBLC issuance
  • Ensure all tasks assigned are carried out in accordance with operating procedures and compliance requirements
  • Facilitate smooth processing of daily transactions within stipulated service level agreements
  • Perform trade sanctions screening, LLI checks, IMB checks, identify potential risks, and escalate as per Bank's procedures
  • Timely escalation of operational risk incidents
  • Effectively manage client queries and provide solutions or recommendations on trade finance matters
  • Identify areas for process improvement

Requirements:

  • Degree holders with at least 3-5 years working experience in trade finance operations within a bank, preferably in structured and commodity finance environments
  • Client-focused professional
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment on transaction monitoring and risk escalation
  • Proficient in SWIFT messages such as MT7xx, MT4xx, MT202, and MT103
  • Conversant and competent in application of URC522 and URR725
  • Good working knowledge of UCP600, ISBP, ISP98, and Incoterms would be an added advantage
