Job Title: Underwater Robotics Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Underwater Robotics Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on various underwater operations, utilizing your technical expertise to ensure safe and efficient execution.

  • Operate and maintain Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) during complex underwater operations, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
  • Conduct electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs and maintenance on ROVs and associated systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Support Senior ROV Pilots in directing marine operations, including lifting, launching, and recovery of ROVs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders during marine operations, such as port authorities, customer vessels, and bunker barges.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation prior to and after operations.
  • Develop and implement upgrades to ROV systems, enhancing operational and technical efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Technical or Country Manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong technical knowledge in electrical and electronics engineering, with mechanical engineering background an advantage.
  • The ability to critically evaluate problems and perform troubleshooting to improve ROV design and capabilities.
  • Excellent 3-dimensional spatial awareness.
  • A good understanding of general marine and electrical safety processes, with a strong safety-first mindset.
  • Previous offshore ROV experience preferred but not necessary.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, task-oriented approach, and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • A positive, hands-on attitude, and ability to work effectively within a cohesive team.
  • Mental and physical stamina to work in vessel and shipyard environments.
  • Ability to work irregular shift hours when required.
