Job Title: Propeller Development Engineer


About the Role:

The Propeller Development Engineer will be a key member of our team, responsible for developing and optimizing 3D-printed propellers. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct hydrodynamic analysis using CFD simulations to evaluate propeller performance and optimize designs for dynamic environmental conditions.
  2. Develop and implement finite element models to evaluate structural integrity under load conditions.
  3. Perform stress, strain, and fatigue analysis for modular components and connectors.
  4. Utilize Response Surface Methodology (RSM) to evaluate performance and identify optimal factors for enhanced propeller performance.
  5. Oversee site-based test bedding and validation of propeller systems via experimental tests and sea trials.
  6. Analyze data to validate models and identify areas for design improvement.
  7. Prepare detailed technical reports on findings, including recommendations for system enhancements.

Requirements:
  • Masters or Ph.D. in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in hydrodynamic modeling tools (e.g., ANSYS/Star CCM/Fluent/OpenFOAM) and finite element analysis software (e.g., Abaqus, ANSYS).
  • Familiarity with 3D printing technologies and materials is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with data collection instruments and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
