Job Title: Department Leader in Cellular Analysis

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the cytology department, ensuring the highest standards of quality and excellence are maintained. This involves managing a team of skilled professionals, providing strategic leadership, and fostering a culture of innovation and teamwork.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide visionary leadership and direction to the Cytology Department.
  • Supervise and manage cytology staff, including technologists, technicians, and support personnel.
  • Oversee the technical operations of the cytology department, encompassing specimen receipt, processing, and analysis.
  • Prepare stains, mount slides, and microscopically examine cells from the human body to detect evidence of cancer, hormonal abnormalities, and other pathological conditions.
  • Perform specialized and complex testing involving microscopic screening and evaluation of gynaecological and non-gynaecological specimens.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, or relevant qualifications.
  • 5-6 years of relevant experience in cytology.
  • Certified cytotechnologist by a reputable international academy of cytology.
