Asian Cuisine Expert

We're seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Asian cuisine, particularly Singaporean, Malaysian, and Thai dishes.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook a wide variety of Zi Char dishes inspired by Southeast Asian flavors.
  • Develop and execute daily specials or seasonal dishes that reflect the flavor profile of street food in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency according to our high standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area, adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
  • Monitor stock levels, manage ingredient inventory, and coordinate with the purchasing team for replenishments.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service and smooth operations during peak hours.
  • Train and guide junior kitchen staff if required.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of Singaporean, Malaysian, and Thai stir-fry dishes, sauces, and ingredients.
  • Skilled in wok handling and high-heat cooking techniques.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen.
  • Good communication skills and a strong team player.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and early or late shifts, depending on business needs.
  • Food safety certification is an advantage, but not necessary.
