This role focuses on teaching jewelry design to students of varying ages and skill levels. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in jewelry/metals, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work effectively with children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach bench basics including measuring, forming, texturing, cold connections, demo soldering, and annealing while maintaining strict safety precautions.
  • Guide the design cycle: research, ideation, sketching, prototyping, and presentation for university portfolio students.
  • Cover introductory CAD skills and 3D printing for prototyping and casting.
  • Set milestones, provide timely feedback, and update parents as needed.
Teaching Experience:
  • Conduct fun, inquiry-based sessions blending fine art and beginner jewelry-making for students aged 5-12.
  • Utilize safe materials such as polymer clay, shrink plastic, soft wire, beads, and felt.
  • Simplify the process for younger students by creating a mood board, quick sketches, prototypes, and mini presentations.
  • Maintain positive class management, clear safety rules, and tidy tool stations.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of teaching or professional experience in jewelry/metals, with a portfolio required.
  • Degree in Jewelry/Metals/Accessory Design.
  • Strong bench skills and small machinery operation, including flex shafts, tumblers, and polishers.
  • Experience with CAD software and rapid prototyping is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and patience are essential for teaching children aged 5-12.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends is required.

Location: Singapore (Onsite)
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate (part-time/freelance)
