**Job Title:** Production Engineer

 

  • Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Manage supplier performance through tracking, process improvements and corrective actions. Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards (IATF16949, AEC-Q100). Implement zero-defect strategies at OSAT suppliers.
  • Oversee product lifecycle management, including gate releases, manufacturing releases, and annual re-qualifications.
  • Lead change management, evaluating supplier changes and coordinating release processes within the organization.
  • Support sourcing activities for specific suppliers, including maturity evaluations and supplier component reviews.
  • Drive continuous improvement programs for supplier quality processes, guidelines, and systems.
  • Escalate component and manufacturing-related quality topics internally and externally.
  • Conduct audits for technology development and manufacturing processes at AESS suppliers.
  • Develop tools and processes for quality management, including PCN/PTN management, MRB management, and qualification according to AEC-Q100.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement category quality requirements and improvement programs.
  • Develop and implement supplier performance metrics and scorecards to track and improve OSAT provider quality.
  • Regularly audit and assess suppliers to ensure compliance with organizational quality standards and industry regulations.
  • Provide input on new product designs from a manufacturability and quality perspective.
  • Implement a robust supplier corrective action system to address quality issues promptly and effectively.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Academic Degree: Engineering, Business Administration or comparable qualification.
  • Experience: 7+ years in semiconductor supplier quality or process engineering, with at least 5+ years in assembly/packaging.
  • Strong Understanding: Semiconductor backend process.
  • Suppliers Management: Managing suppliers in a fabless or OSAT environment.
  • Familiarity with Automotive Standards: Preferred.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using 8D, FMEA, SPC and DOE.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual in English & Mandarin as needed to liaise with Asia and Europe offices.
  • Decision-Making Skills: Strong decision-making skills and entrepreneurship.
  • Project Management Knowledge: Project management knowledge, strong attention to detail and agile result-oriented negotiation skills.
  • Continuous Learning: Eager to learn new skillsets and develop personally.
  • Teamwork: Strong team contributor, comfortable collaborating with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent presentation and written communication skills.
