Editorial Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Editorial Lead to drive the success of our Lifestyle section. As a seasoned journalist or editor, you will shape how Singaporeans live, work and play, and guide budding journalists in their career development.

You will collaborate closely with the management team and receive support from other departments to give a unique edge to our reporting. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing a comprehensive content strategy for local and regional lifestyle content.
  • Monitoring news cycles and curating compelling narratives from various sources and partners.
  • Creating diverse content formats, including news reports, feature articles, photo essays and social videos.
  • Leading a team of journalists and fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a newsroom, preferably with proven editing experience.
  • A good bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or social science.
  • Strong news sense and the ability to persuade with words.
  • Experience working effectively in a fast-paced digital environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Bonus qualifications include:

  • Experience in digital media, social media management and/or video journalism.
  • Proficiency in a second or third language.
