We are seeking a seasoned attorney to lead our legal operations in the Asia-Pacific region.

Job Description

The Head of Legal – APAC will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice and support to our business units across the region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a versatile attorney with in-house experience to become deeply embedded in our global operations.

The role will have many touchpoints with the business, requiring proactive issue spotting and reactive problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
  • Leading a team of lawyers and legal assistants across APAC
  • Negotiating client contracts, license agreements, leases, and other third-party agreements
  • Providing legal support and advising on employee relations matters and compliance
  • Guiding the business on international privacy and data security matters
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and international colleagues to resolve legal matters arising from clients, experts, vendors, and government/regulatory bodies
Required Skills and Qualifications

An ideal candidate will have:

  • A law degree (LL.B. or higher) from a top law university with excellent academic performance
  • 10+ years' experience, including at least 5+ years of in-house experience at a mid-sized or large multi-national company
  • Experience collaborating with business on complex agreements
  • Experience managing attorneys, preferably
  • Fluency in MS office and comfort with AI tools, CLM systems, and other technology
  • Exceptional written and oral English communication skills
