Process Improvement Specialist

In this role, you will play a critical part in enhancing chemical manufacturing processes. Your work will involve collaborating closely with regional and functional leaders to identify and execute projects that boost productivity, efficiency, quality, and reduce costs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead optimization projects by planning, coordinating, communicating, and executing initiatives related to chemical processes.
  • Implement best practices across the region.
  • Develop new guidelines and procedures for scaling up newly developed products and technology transfers.
  • Provide technical and managerial guidance for special projects requiring engineering and technical expertise.
  • Reduce process cycle time and enhance quality and yield of finished goods.
  • Motivate teams to achieve key performance indicators set by management.
  • Lead task forces to overcome production and quality issues.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related fields.
  • Relevant industrial experience of about 2 to 5 years in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • A proven track record of working in operations/supply-chain organizations with effective engagement with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership, program/process management, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and inspire teams independently of formal authority.
  • Manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
  • Maintain tight timelines while meeting targeted savings outcomes.
  • Experience with total cost of ownership reduction and process improvement.
Desirable Skills:
  • Six Sigma Green Belt with statistical analytical skills preferred.
  • Ability to read and create piping and instrumentation (P&ID) diagrams.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
