Teaching Role

We seek a dedicated educator to lead a class of students in their academic and personal growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide a supportive learning environment that respects each student's individuality and promotes mutual respect.
  • Contribute to the well-being and behaviour management of pupils, particularly those within your designated class group.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons aligned with established school policies and guidelines.
  • Employ various teaching methods, including differentiation, to ensure effective learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement concept-driven, inquiry-based units of learning from the IPC curriculum.
  • Prepare and submit lesson plans outlining specific objectives, differentiated tasks, special needs, extensions, and assessments.
  • Maintain open communication with colleagues regarding students, classroom activities, and school-related matters while upholding confidentiality.
  • Promote equal opportunities for all students.
  • Instruct, assess, and progress pupils according to the UK National Curriculum for English.
  • Foster a sense of pride and responsibility among students towards their environment and encourage respect and concern for others.
  • Oversee all aspects of classroom management, including equipment care, resource organization, and maintaining a tidy, well-organized room.
  • Create an engaging and stimulating learning environment that encourages independent exploration.
  • Work with colleagues to establish and refine pupil assessment procedures and moderation portfolios, keeping accurate records of student progress and providing reports as needed.
  • Build positive relationships with parents of students in your care.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • A successful candidate will embody our ideal educator: collaborative, lifelong learner, open-minded, respectful, and passionate.
  • Hold a minimum Postgraduate Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Education from a recognized institution, involving at least 3 years of full-time study.
  • Obtain Teacher Certificate, Diploma, or other Teacher Accreditation courses and certification if the degree is not in Education.
  • Have at least 2 to 5 years of relevant teaching experience in primary years settings, preferably with knowledge of the International Primary Curriculum.
  • Be familiar with or willing to acquire knowledge of inquiry-based learning.
  • International experience, particularly in Asia, is highly valued.
  • Candidates with MOE experience are welcome to apply.
