Electrical/Electronic Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented Electrical/Electronic Design Engineer to join our vibrant and driven systems integration team working on solving challenging problems in robotics.

Job Description:

As an electrical/electronic design engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building and integrating robotic systems needed to solve complex real-world problems. You will work with clients to understand their needs and implement their requirements accordingly.

The ideal candidate will have experience in power distribution modules, motor driver circuits, actuator control electronics, peripheral and sensor interfaces. Familiarity with robotics fields is preferred.

Responsibilities:
  1. Design electrical and electronic circuits for robotics systems, actuators, sensors and systems integration.
  2. Create schematics and PCB layouts for power distribution modules, motor driver circuits, actuator control electronics, peripheral and sensor interfaces.
  3. Prototype and debug electrical and electronic circuits.
  4. Develop specifications and design schemes.
  5. Select components and vendors.
  6. Work with internal/external partners to support manufacture of sub-systems.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and robotics engineers.
  8. Determine technical solutions to resolve issues.
  9. Define test plans and evaluate reliability.
  10. Conduct testing, deployment, and commissioning of systems.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or other related fields.
  • 5+ years experience in electrical/electronic design engineering.
  • Experience in power distribution modules, motor driver circuits, actuator control electronics, peripheral and sensor interfaces.
  • Knowledge of robotics fields is preferred.
  • Proficiency in PCB design software such as KiCAD or Altium.
  • Basic knowledge of C/C++ programming language.
  • Familiarity with sensors, actuators, and design constraints common to robotic systems.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with some guidance.
