Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Materials Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the procurement department, you will be responsible for sourcing materials, managing inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of products to meet customer demands.

Responsibilities:
  • Raise purchase orders and obtain internal approvals to secure necessary materials
  • Monitor job order status and update stock usage reports as required to maintain accurate inventory levels
  • Sourcing materials, requesting quotes, and comparing pricing and lead times to ensure cost-effective solutions
  • Conduct vendor assessments and on-site audits when necessary to evaluate supplier performance
  • Propose material substitutions to customers if necessary to improve product quality or reduce costs
  • Coordinate with suppliers to manage procurement activities and ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Issue drawings and relevant documents to QA and other departments as required for production
  • Review technical specifications and engineering drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Identify cost-effective, value-added suppliers to improve sourcing options and increase efficiency
  • Support ad-hoc procurement and administrative duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field to possess the necessary knowledge and skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, to analyze data and manage spreadsheets
