Job Summary

As a key member of the AmSpec Group team, the successful candidate will be responsible for functional reporting to the Lab Operations Executives and attending to witnessing jobs at clients' sites/laboratories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Functional reporting to the Lab Operations Executives, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Attending to witnessing jobs at clients' sites/laboratories, adhering to international standards and protocols.
  • Executing analytical chemistry procedures as per international standards (ASTM, ISO, UOP, IP, etc.), ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Validating calibrated laboratory equipment to ensure compliance with standard procedures and schedules.
  • Providing assistance to other team members and services in laboratories as required, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ensuring adherence to all company standards in the areas of safety, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Meeting customers' requirements, being flexible to work in any area of the business as required, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Nitec or higher Nitec in Science or equivalent work experience in a laboratory environment, with a strong foundation in analytical chemistry.
  • Ability to understand ASTM standards and procedures, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in working with all chemicals, petrochemicals, and petroleum products, with a strong understanding of their properties and handling procedures.
  • Ability to differentiate colors accurately by sight, with a keen sense of observation and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and direct multiple projects concurrently.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with a strong commitment to quality and precision.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively, with a strong sense of initiative and adaptability.
  • Positive attitude, good teamwork, and a strong commitment to Good Lab Practice, with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Dependable and reliable, with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
  • Ability to work under a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, with flexibility and adaptability.
  • Own transportation is a must, with a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.

  • Training will be provided for suitable candidates without experience, with a focus on developing skills and knowledge.
