Laser Production Technician

Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Laser Production Technician. This is a full-time role requiring the ability to manufacture and test lasers, laser sub-assemblies, and components according to documented specifications.

  • Manufacture and test lasers, laser sub-assemblies, and components according to documented specifications.
  • Handle fiber splicing, routing, pig-tailing, and operate laser diodes.
  • Troubleshoot fiber-based assemblies and laser diode issues.
  • Perform fiber-based assembly and optical alignment to specifications.
  • Integrate optical, mechanical, and electrical sub-assemblies into system units with testing.
  • Install and align optical, mechanical, and optical sub-assemblies into systems using precision instruments.

This role requires a strong technical foundation in optical, mechanical, or electrical assembly, as well as excellent troubleshooting skills. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical) or equivalent, and at least 3 years' relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Manufacturing and testing lasers and laser sub-assemblies.

Qualifications:

The qualifications for this role include:

  • Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience.
  • Technical competence in optical, mechanical, or electrical assembly.
  • Ability to assemble subsystems and interpret technical instructions.
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues.
