The Role of an Associate IP Strategist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate IP Strategist to join our team. As an Associate IP Strategist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the growth of enterprises by empowering them to manage their intangible assets/IP effectively.

Your primary responsibility will be to support the development and implementation of strategies to enhance the ecosystem of Intellectual Property (IP) management for enterprises in Singapore.

You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to plan and implement initiatives that promote the value of IP and facilitate its effective management.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage with partners in the innovation ecosystem, generate awareness of IP, and provide IA/IP capability building and strategy services to companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of strategies to enhance the ecosystem of IP management for enterprises in Singapore.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to plan and implement initiatives that promote the value of IP and facilitate its effective management.
  • Engage partners in the innovation ecosystem to provide IA/IP management capability building and support.
  • Generate awareness of IP and demonstrate its value through talks, company consultations, and resources such as case studies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree holder in any field (law, engineering, or science preferred).
  • Strong foundation in IP, preferably with a Master's in IP and Innovation Management or Graduate Certificate in IP Law.
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience, with experience in leading IP management consultancy projects or in-house IP management being an advantage.
  • Keen interest in supporting whole-of-government efforts to enhance the ecosystem of IPM support for enterprises in Singapore.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
