Job Description:

As a Senior Manager, Applications Development, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in accomplishing established goals and conducting personnel duties. This includes managing a team of experts to deliver technology solutions and project management services to the Spread Products and Rates front office.

The ideal candidate will have experience in driving delivery of technology solutions in the banking industry, with a deep understanding of Fixed Income products and extensive experience collaborating with Sales and Trading businesses directly.

You will work closely with senior leaders across functions, communicate effectively with external parties, and ensure that essential procedures are followed and standards are defined.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of professionals to accomplish established goals
  • Conduct personnel duties such as performance evaluations, hiring, and disciplinary actions
  • Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management, and planning while monitoring end results
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues
  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards
  • Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals
  • Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sources
  • Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in driving delivery of technology solutions in the banking industry
  • Deep understanding of Fixed Income products
  • Extensive experience collaborating with Sales and Trading businesses directly
  • Experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle
  • Experience in management of technology projects
  • Experience managing technology teams
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
