Aspiring Underwriter Opportunities

We are looking for talented and motivated individuals to join our team as aspiring underwriters. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in the insurance industry, working with experienced professionals who will guide you every step of the way.

About the Role

This position involves learning everything you need to become an expert in your field, from structured training conducted by senior employees to performing back office operations to support the underwriters. You will learn the terms and acronyms used by specialists across the insurance sector, assess, rate, quote, and underwrite client risks, attend lunches and events to build strong relationships with brokers and clients, collaborate and problem-solve with departments such as finance, actuarial and compliance, data entry using a number of systems including Microsoft Excel, and study towards a credible Singapore College of Insurance qualification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in structured training to learn the fundamentals of insurance
  • Perform back office operations to support the underwriters
  • Assess, rate, quote, and underwrite client risks
  • Attend lunches and events to build strong relationships with brokers and clients
  • Collaborate and problem-solve with departments such as finance, actuarial and compliance
  • Data entry using a number of systems including Microsoft Excel
  • Study towards a credible Singapore College of Insurance qualification

Requirements
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 above on a 4.0 scale grading system or 4.0 above on a 5.0 scale grading system
  • The ability to start work on or before 4th August
