Product Engineering Professional
Join our team as a Product Engineering Professional. We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to lead the development of new products and product improvements with disciplined focus in product engineering design of connector solution.

About the Job

We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer to join our team. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for participating in the development of new products and product improvements with disciplined focus in product engineering design of connector solution.

You will design and develop quality products and ensure manufacturability with other engineering functions involved in product development. Your responsibilities will also include performing product design activities such as translating customer requirements into product drawings and product specifications, design analysis and verification, tolerance analysis, DFMEA, etc.

Furthermore, you will ensure that product designs are validated per customer requirements, respecting international industry standards. You will take a project leadership role, define and reconcile technical DFM with Process Design team.

In addition, you will be responsible for product engineering of responsible product lines and be part of an integrated team anticipating and resolving customer dissatisfaction. You will improve product designs to bring about reduction in manufacturing cost.


Requirements
  • Bachelor/Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or other relevant discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of product design development experience with excellent grasp of Engineering and Design principles
  • Experience in interconnects design industry is desirable. Senior/Staff position requires excellent design leadership skills and relevant product life-cycle knowledge
  • Proficient with Mechanical Design, Solid Mechanics theory and its application to product design
  • Familiar with CAD/CAE tool: Pro-Engineer CREO/ANSYS. 3D CAD modeling is a must. Familiar with engineering drawing standards
  • Working knowledge of connector application, plastic technology, insert-molding, stamping processes is preferred
