Job Title: Price Analyst
Job Description:

As a key member of our international team, you will leverage our strengths in coal to expand into steel raw materials such as iron ore, scrap and steel. This is an excellent opportunity to develop strong relationships with the Singapore iron ore trading community.

  • Daily Tasks:
    • Gather daily price information for major seaborne iron ore prices.
    • Develop a strong contact base in the Singapore iron ore trading community and develop regular engagement with key contacts.
    • Garner market intelligence covering shifts in consumption patterns of iron ore, impacts of policy and macro-economic conditions, developments in the steel sector.
Requirements:
  • Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
  • 2-4 years of experience in commodities. Iron ore or ferrous markets experience is a bonus.
  • Experience with spreadsheets and commodity data analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage market participants daily and build lasting industry relationships.
  • Curiosity about markets and news is essential.
