About the Role
  • Conduct user research: We need a professional with strong background in both public sector and tech industry, allowing you to bridge the gap between efficient design and specific needs of governmental processes and digital innovation.
Key Responsibilities
  1. User research and analysis: Conduct comprehensive user research, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and user testing, with a focus on understanding citizens' needs in public sector and dynamic demands of tech industry. Analyse and synthesise data to produce actionable insights.
  2. Digital interface design: Design user-friendly, responsive, and aesthetically engaging digital interfaces for web and mobile applications across public sector and tech-related projects. Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity design mockups that cater to diverse user needs.
  3. Collaboration and communication: Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including government officials, tech developers, content strategists, and project managers. Translate business and user requirements into innovative design solutions that meet unique challenges of public sector and tech industry.
  4. UX strategy development: Lead development of UX strategies for digital transformation projects in government and tech, aiming to optimise service delivery, increase user satisfaction, and enhance digital accessibility.
  5. Usability testing and iteration: Conduct usability testing and gather feedback from real users in governmental and tech environments. Iteratively refine designs based on user feedback and performance data to improve overall user experience.
  6. Design systems management: Develop and maintain design systems for government technology projects, ensuring consistency and scalability across all digital products and services.
  7. Documentation and reporting: Document design workflows, user personas, journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes. Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders, ensuring alignment on design direction and project goals.
Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with government digital transformation initiatives or experience in designing for e-Government projects, citizen engagement platforms, or public service delivery systems.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as UI/UX Designer or Consultant, with hands-on experience servicing public sector (government or local authorities/agencies).
