Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) cum Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building/civil engineering/quantity surveying, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Evaluate tenders, costs, manage contracts, and advise on contractual matters.
  • Prepare tender submissions and documentation/drawings.
  • Submit variation and cost claims.
  • Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlement, and sub-contractor payments.
  • Explore and implement innovative solutions and best practices on procurement, contract strategy, and related functions.
  • Project budgeting and costing reports.
  • Correspondence between consultants/sub-contractors/suppliers.
  • Analyze and compare quotations of various trade elements.
  • Attend site meetings when required.
  • Assist Manager in all other QS-related jobs not limited to liaison with sub-contractors/suppliers, measurement of quantities, analyze cost comparison.
Drafter Responsibilities
  • Create detailed technical drawings and shop drawings using CAD software.
  • Prepare material boards, coordinate design documentations, and material selection.
  • Review and revise drawings with accuracy for carpentry productions.
  • Actively collaborate with Project Team to ensure all site marking dimensions are correct and captured for accurate ordering of products.
  • Team player and can communicate well.
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Building/Civil Engineering/Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant working experience in the Construction industry.
  • Proven ability in tender estimate, contract negotiation, contract administration & variation orders.
  • Able to work independently to estimate and prepare tender submission.
  • Able to work independently, be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, a good team player & able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
