Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Production Director to oversee our day-to-day production operations as a key member of the management team. This role will be responsible for supporting the department in achieving key performance indicators, quality assurances, and investigating issues to recommend solutions.

About the Role
  • Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing resources and minimizing costs.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvement, and cost reduction within the production process, and implement appropriate strategies and initiatives.
  • Ensure that production processes adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements, implementing quality control measures to maintain product quality and safety.
  • Oversee inventory levels of raw materials, ingredients, and finished products, and develop inventory management strategies to optimize inventory turnover and minimize waste.
  • Allocate resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to ensure smooth production operations and meet production targets.
  • Lead and motivate the production team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and morale.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, implement safety protocols and procedures, and promote a culture of safety within the production workplace.
  • Monitor production costs and expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement measures to control costs without compromising product quality or safety.
  • Collaborate with other departments/internal stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and communication across the production process.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, encourage innovation, and implement best practices to enhance production efficiency, quality, and effectiveness.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, or opportunities for improvement, and present findings to superiors to contribute to decision-making processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as food technology, hospitality, business, or culinary arts.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a related field or in F&B background.
  • Proven experience in food production management, with a strong understanding of food production processes, equipment, and technologies.
  • Adequate leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills; and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP, ISO22000/FSSC22000) and quality standards is preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies is advantageous.

As a Production Director at FRESHDIRECT PTE LTD, you can expect a competitive salary of SGD $80,000 - SGD $120,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications.
