PostgreSQL Database Specialist

We are seeking a skilled PostgreSQL Database Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-availability database environments, monitoring and troubleshooting daily databases, and implementing security measures to safeguard data integrity.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain high-availability database environments, including monitoring, automation, logging, backup, and other systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot daily PostgreSQL and MySQL databases to ensure seamless performance.
  • Implement security hardening measures to safeguard database integrity and availability of backup data.
  • Participate in various types of cutovers, including master-slave switchover, BI data push, cluster synchronization, and data migration.
  • Perform stress testing and optimize production database performance to meet business needs.
  • Set up clusters and disaster recovery environments for high database availability and scalability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, database monitoring, automation, and technical support.
  • Experience with SQL statements, performance tuning, and troubleshooting application issues.
  • Expertise in database security controls to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Provide technical support to colleagues and contribute to the development of best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the related field for junior positions or equivalent skills and knowledge.
