The Public Art Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of public art programmes for a diverse range of audiences in collaboration with various stakeholders. This involves managing annual programme schedules, budgets, procurement, administrative processes, and logistical operations in accordance with organisational policies.
This role requires close collaboration with the Director, Public Art to develop and implement strategies for outreach and engagement, fostering inter-departmental synergies and coordination, and cultivating external opportunities for collaboration.
The Public Art Manager will identify and develop strategic programme partners, working closely with partnership managers and relevant departments.
Key responsibilities include generating content, managing projects, supervising staff, and handling ad-hoc assignments as required.
Qualifications for this position include a minimum 3-5 years of experience in the museum, arts, and culture sector or equivalent, a bachelor's degree in Cultural Studies, Art Management, or a related field, excellent project management skills, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Candidates should be creative, motivated, dynamic, and outgoing individuals with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
In addition to the above qualifications, applicants are expected to have excellent communication skills, be a team player, and demonstrate leadership capabilities.
A positive team player with self-motivation and a willingness to learn and adapt to changing circumstances is essential for success in this role.
