About the Role

The Wine Boutique Sommelier will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the wine boutique on a daily basis. This includes maintaining the showroom's impeccable appearance, delivering exceptional customer service, and assisting the Retail Manager in a wide range of tasks to enhance the overall functions of the retail space.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge about luxury wines, including their origins, production methods, and pairing recommendations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including responding to customer inquiries, making recommendations, and handling sales transactions.
  • Work closely with the Retail Manager to achieve sales targets, manage inventory, and maintain visual merchandising standards.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance customer engagement and drive sales growth.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operations and provide support when needed.

Requirements:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in luxury retail or customer service is preferred.
  3. Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Good organisational and time management skills.
  6. Fluency in English is required for this role, and additional languages are a plus.

Skills & Competencies:
  1. Product Knowledge: The company will offer WSET wine courses if the candidate does not hold any qualifications yet.
  2. Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and team members.
