Test Technician Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Test Technician to manage our RMA lab activities, support day-to-day RMA evaluation/testing activities requested by RMA engineering. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing RMA debugging setup according to priority and resolving all setup issues to ensure a good RMA evaluation environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent organization and articulation of information, and the ability to seek win/win resolutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and test RMA devices according to Engineer's instructions.
  • Support remote access requests through phone, emails, and online systems.
  • Perform test hardware order, buy-off, debug, and repair.
  • Assemble new instruments on benches.
  • Coordinate and execute equipment relocation.
  • Perform/coordinate PM, calibration, and repair of Test Floor equipment – ATE and peripherals, and Benches' instruments as needed.
  • Support RMA engineering bench setup, upgrade, verification, modification, and management.
  • Manage day-to-day RMA bench utilization for testing according to priorities.
  • Track and control RMA parts used in testing.
  • Track and manage HW inventory and Instrument calibration and PM.
  • Maintain RMA benches and equipment/instrument in RMA lab.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills; clear organization and articulation of information; seeks win/win resolutions.
  • Automotive Systems Knowledge: Understanding key components and interactions of automotive subsystems; know-how about the automotive application.
  • Electronic Test Equipment: Proficient with various electronic instruments: Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, VNA, Oscilloscope etc.
  • Hands-On Lab Skills: Strong engineering lab management skills and able to organize or upkeep working environment, equipment/instrument always in good working condition (equipment/instrument PM, calibration, upgrade process).
